“My Home Tour” little Boys Room

This is my little guys shared room, it is home to Payton (5) and Owen (1). I will say starting this room I didn’t really have a plan. All I knew was I had to have my Vintage little Carnival fabric as wallpaper. I found the fabric at a local shop here (Home fabrics.)   I wanted the room to be colorful and exciting for my two baby boys.

Since there is a lot of pattern on the wall in the wallpaper I decided to go with more mellow colors and designs in the bedding. Paytons Sage and white Duvet is from IKEA. Owen’s crib bedding is from Pottery Barn Kids. It is white with blue embroidery around the edges for that tailored look. I adore his bla bla kids blue bird mobile that hangs above him when he is in his crib.

Above each bed I have a matching white scalloped shelves with a monogram made out of old sheet music next to these cute little Bird decals from the 1950′s, that I found online. I love the detail of the hanging balloons that i found in the party decor section at Hobby Lobby, if you can see the balloons were repeated in the wallpaper as well.

My little Owen’s side with the easiest DIY felt garland ever! Which is on my list for a DIY post soon…

The babies in our home use 100′s of blankets. We use to have the dresser as a changing table when he was younger, but now we love it as our blanky station. If you are having a baby you need Aden & Anais swaddle blankets.

I knew in the room there would be a lot of little fingers, so the closet door was not going to work for me. So we took it out and opted for a soft fabric curtain. I choose Chevron blue/natural for $7 yd at Fabric.com

In May 2011 this nursery was featured on www.OhDeeDoh.com
