Wish I could have Peonies everyday!

Once a year in my little town there is a peony flower stand that opens up around the end of May!
They sell Pink Peonies for $4 a dozen! I have been buying them for the past four years. It is one of my favorite things of Spring. The stand always opens up when the peonies are starting to bloom. I never know for sure when that is because its normally a different week in May every year. Well on Friday afternoon after I picked Alliya up from school, I had that feeling. The feeling to drive by the street that always had the stand, because I just knew in my heart that this was the day they would be out selling. Well I was so happy to see that my feeling was right and I grabbed a few dozen!

Aren’t Peonies pretty amazing with their hundreds of petals and huge blooms!

I thought I would post my vase full of them, that are on my table at the moment. If you live in Utah County email me and I would love to give you the address of the stand! When I went they even gave me a private tour of the Peony Patch. It was rows and rows of pink peonies. I have never seen anything like it in my life! I am happy to report that they will have White Peonies come out in a few weeks!

Since I was on the flower mood I trimmed some blossom branches like I talked about HERE! I just love these blossoms because they look like mini hydrangea clusters. I will say since they are blossoms they did give me a little allergy attack this weekend, but they were
totally worth it!

My Mother’s Day !

I think this year was my favorite Mother’s Day of all! It may have something to do with that this year all three of my children are old enough to smoother me with kisses and love! I got spoiled with loads of homemade cards and pictures that I will tuck away so one day I can look back and feel like I have my little ones again.

This year we hosted a Mother’s Day Lunch and invited my parents over. My husband did all the cooking and surprised me with a gorgeous salmon and all of my favorites! But of course I’m not one to just sit back and watch, so while he was cooking I whipped up this table! I love having candle light for any special party or meal. Even if it’s in the middle of the day, Why Not?

I had a beautiful and perfect Mother’s Day! I am so happy and feel so blessed to have three amazing children that have changed my life forever! My Favorite things in the world are playing, dancing and singing with my children. I hope all of you had a lovely day as well…

Birthday Dresses!

In a few weeks it will be my daughter Alliya’s 8th birthday!
I keep asking myself how on earth did that happen?! Or maybe “since when did I become old enough to have a 8 year old!” She is such a beautiful young girl,so kind and a loyal friend. Actully she is my best lil’ friend!

Since we will be having a big birthday party for her and all her little friends. I have been on the look out for the perfect birthday party dress for her! Do you remember back in the day when we were little girls we would attend a birthday party in party dresses? Did you do that or was it just me?

I went over to ZARA.com and their new Spring line is amazing and adorable! I am just having a hard time choosing, even Alliya loves them all!

“Mint” is my new Pink!

I am really loving how pastel colors are everywhere this year,especially Mint. It’s showing up in fashion and with everything to do with design. I am in the middle of doing a room in this gorgeous color and I have been finding myself sneaking it in with almost everything I do.

So last night I had a really good laugh: Did anyone catch the Tv show “New Girl” if so do you remember the part when the three roommates were in the moving truck and they were trying to talk Nick out of leaving? Nick told them that “all he did that day was pick out paint colors and surprisingly “soft Mint” is a really hard color to choose and he spent hours with his girlfriend trying to decide!”

Oh my goodness I was laughing so hard because that was exactly what I was doing all day! Trying to pick out the perfect Mint Color paint and honestly it wasn’t easy!

I’m in love with this bedroom…

Yes please with the coral chair… Mint and Coral are so perfect together!

Mint kitchens just feel so soft and bright all at the same time…

As we know it’s wedding season, how fresh and different would a Spring Mint wedding be!

“Mint” is it!
