Book: My Wonderful World of Fashion

All of your little girls out there are going to be so happy that I am telling you about this book today. My Alliya has been spending many hours of her summer vacation designing in her “My Wonderful World of Fashion: A Book for Drawing, Creating and Dreaming!”

I love how it teaches her how to think creatively and uniquely. I have always tried to encourage my children to do things that are creative and Artsy. Probably, because I’m very comfortable with it.

This book has a lot more then just boring coloring pages. It shows them how to make a mask out of lace, design dresses, hats and loads more. I wouldn’t be surprised if Alliya caught me one day doing a page or two myself.

A few things…

Hello Everyone, just a quick one today! As I write this I have the baby sitting on my lap trying to push buttons, my five year old crying because he can’t find his sticker book. Being a mother is so fun sometimes… I try my best to be graceful in life. But sometimes “it is just what it is” with three little ones!

I have been helping with a few girls rooms lately (hoping to get some details on that for you soon) Here are a few things that I thought you would all love to know about! Maybe for your girls or your home! Just a few of my favorite things this week!

Meant to be Art!

Do you believe in fate? When something is just meant to be and that it will always find a way to come to you!  Not to long ago I found this huge gorgeous painting that reminded me of my two favorite places in the world. My Auntie Sylvia’s English home and garden in Weston Super Mare, England where I would visit for every summer growing up and the nothing like it in the world Jersey Shore where I am from.

How could there be a painting with both places together. The art is sadly unsigned so I don’t know who painted it. ( I won’t lie it has crossed my mind, what would happen if I just signed the little corner and act like I painted it. After all it’s mostly us that sees it right. “Don’t worry,I would never!”)

This little cafe table is just like the one in my Auntie Sylvia’s garden where she had a tortoise that roamed where ever it pleased. It even has the same flowers that she has! This piece brings to me the happiest little childhood memories. I have always had a thing for landscape art. Nature is perfect and to be able to put it on canvas is my favorite! It’s what I mostly have in my little humble art collection oh and water colors but we aren’t chatting about that today.

Alliya’s 8th Birthday Party!

Read Kaylee Webster Designs latest blog posts HERE!

My one and only little girl Alliya turned 8 this weekend! We hosted a party for her and some of her favorite friends. Most of the party was full of really yummy treats. During the week when we were planning the party we couldn’t decide on what games to play to entertain the little guests. Alliya came up with the brilliant idea to have a dance party. Since we often have our own impromptu dance parties all the time at our home it felt natural to do it. The children loved it and Alliya’s idea was a huge hit!

Before we even started planning this party Alliya was telling all of her friends that she would be giving out Kachoozs at her party. Of course all of her friends were pretty excited to hear this news! Then she came home and told me about it! :) So of course because she is the birthday girl and it was her day, we found these little cute Kachooz charms and put them on a necklace for the girls.

While I was setting everything up for the party, Alliya was quietly coloring something in the corner. She made a birthday poster for herself and I thought it was really funny because it was a drawing of her party that was about to take place. So of course we hung up her banner!

Happy Birthday Alliya, she has the kindest heart and she is such a loyal friend to all and especially to me!

This is her little brother Payton! Who I just stare at all the time and pinch his cheeks because he is so dang cute!

Another perfect Birthday!
